Our data center (Internap, the same one we've been at for many years) lost all its power, including redundant backup power, for some unknown reason. (unknown to us, at least) We're currently dealing with verifying the correct operation of our 100+ servers. Not fun. We're not happy about this. Sorry... :-/ More details later.

Update #1, 7:35 pm PST: we have power again, and we're working to assess the state of the databases. The worst thing we could do right now is rush the site up in an unreliable state. We're checking all the hardware and data, making sure everything's consistent. Where it's not, we'll be restoring from recent backups and replaying all the changes since that time, to get to the current point in time, but in good shape. We'll be providing more technical details later, for those curious, on the power failure (when we learn more), the database details, and the recovery process. For now, please be patient. We'll be working all weekend on this if we have to.

Update #2, 10:11 pm: So far so good. Things are checking out, but we're being paranoid. A few annoying issues, but nothing that's not fixable. We're going to be buying a bunch of rack-mount UPS units on Monday so this doesn't happen again. In the past we've always trusted Internap's insanely redundant power and UPS systems, but now that this has happened to us twice, we realize the first time wasn't a total freak coincidence. C'est la vie.

Megans Olive Garden B-Day:
Went to the party and saw tons of cool people. We had a great time.

Hung out with the Jew Crew.

The ride to CJ's house:
Well, CJ was apx 3 inches from an old ladys bumper the whole way home on ocean shore blvd. The old lady finally gave up and pulled over. We all passed her. She then followed us to CJ's house. She stopped and then drove off. We then went in and had some Bacardi Watermelon drinks. 3 min later the police showed up. We all hid while CJ and Eddie got the door. The cop was like " I dont want to be here as much as you dont want me here. I am here because I have to be here. You are not in trouble cause I did not see you doing it." CJ was like we are drink yahoo and watching HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE. The cop said okay... cool ... enjoy. lol

We watched HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE:
Got hungry for white castle but settled with kristal burgars at 3am. The line was around the building. Plus it was the time all clubs let out. People were getting pulled over left and right. We sat in the parking lot and ate our food... 40 burgers!! and watched people getting DUIs. The cops had a truck of kids pulled over.

The crazy drunk guy:
Well. CJ was in the car with chris k.and jon honnigman. One of the guys who was being arrested and in handcuffs came up to CJs car. He started yelling " what the fuck. You are scared.. fuck you ass holes... scared fuckers... etc etc... CJ said "get the fuck away from my car! The cops did not even do anything. You would think the cops would keep control of their suspects. Well the shouting continued. Chris told the guy if he did not get away from the car her you blow his head off. The guy kept talking shit. Jon Honigman looked like he was gonna shit himself! lol The drunk guy finally walked back to the cop car.! lol wtf?

Megans secret hotel party:
I found out the hotel... then the room... then jayson parker was in the parking lot giving us the wrong room info. (good try ass hole lol) Went to knock on the door, but due to problems with megan and chris we were not allowed in. Security came up due to noise at 4am. We told him that our gf's were inside and got mad and locked us out. he made the girls let us in. lol We worked out our problems with megan and i hope finally put an end to the drama. We then just hung out and talked. Talked till 7am!!!! It was fun as hell and those girls kick ass. Some really are awesome. :) lol The sunrise was cool too. Been a while since I was up the early.

Drove back to CJ's house to get cars etc... Went home and fell asleep at 8am. Slept till 5ish and then met up with Eastly and Chris to go for indian food. We then said hi to Megan at BK, then Kmac and Chirs and then went to see White Noise (it was kinda cool)

Came home to make a LJ for Chris Karling... it is called (CHRISKARLING) simple huh?

It is now 4:40am and I am tired. I gotta get out of this nocturnal lifestyle.
